Botanical Gardens

Botanical Gardens are a 15-acre botanical garden situated in Edgbaston, Birmingham, England.
No matter what the weather, there is always something to warm the heart and cheer the soul at the gardens.
Designed in 1829, the gardens are Grade II listed and retain many original features and layout, which was designed by the landscape gardener and horticulturalist John Claudius Loudon. The site is notable for its range of glasshouses and gardens, which display a wide variety of plants and birds.

Dudley Zoo

Opened in the year 1937, covering an area of approximately 40 acres. This unique site includes two scheduled monuments- and 11th century castle & limestone caverns and grade 2 listed Tecton buildings. Dudley Zoo has the world’s largest single collection of Tectons, which in 2009 received World Monument Status.
From lions & tigers to snakes & spiders there’s fun for all ages at Dudley Zoo & Castle. Come face to face with Lemurs as they roam freely in their woodland home.
